LSU, Florida, UGA dominate preseason All-SEC teams
Moreno, Ellerbe only Bulldogs named to first team

Nine Georgia football players were named to the SEC coaches preseason all-conference football team, released by the league office Monday afternoon.

That number trailed only LSU (14) and Florida (10) on the first, second and third teams.

Georgia sophomore tailback Knowshon Moreno was among six players that were unanimous first-team selections. The others were four offensive linemen — Alabama's Andre Smith, Arkansas' Jonathan Luigs, Ole Miss' Michael Oher and Tennessee's Anthony Parker. Ole Miss defensive end Greg Hardy and Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes were the other two.

Linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was the only other Georgia player named to the first team.

Other Bulldogs selected were: Second team — QB Matthew Stafford, WR Mohamed Massaquoi, DT Geno Atkins and CB Asher Allen; third team — DT Jeff Owens, LB Rennie Curran and punter Brian Mimbs.

Florida led all schools with five first-team selections followed by LSU and Tennessee with four each.
