Holdsclaw sixth in WNBA All-Star voting

Chamique Holdsclaw is sixth among forwards in fan voting for the WNBA All-Star game released Thursday.
The Dream’s leading scorer has 11,475 votes, well behind the leading vote getter at the position and in the Eastern Conference Indiana’s Tamika Catchings (32,266).
Two other Dream players are among the leaders in votes but far off the pace to be selected to the game. Michelle Snow is seventh among centers with 5,418 votes. Nikki Teasley is 11th among guards with 6,001 votes.
Phoenix guard Diana Taurasi is the leading overall vote getter for the game to be played July 25. Fan voting began on June 14 and continues through Tuesday. Starters will be announced on July 14.
