Baseball fans got their first glimpse of what the minor league Gwinnett Braves stadium could look like when an architect recently revealed a more than a dozen new renderings.

The drawings by HKS Architects sports & entertainment group, presented Wednesday to the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau, show an open-air entryway and spaces for concessions, a team store, and home and visitors clubhouses. Stadium seating would total 10,099, including general seating, club seats, and outfield berm areas.

Retro look vs. traditional?

Most of the baseball world loves the look of the old time parks; so where does this Retro look come from? The Crackers? Take a look at Victory Field in Indy and Louisville Slugger Ballpark in Louisville and take another crack at what a ballpark for 10,000 should look like. If built this ballpark will not see the retirement of its 30 year bonds and will be razed and rebuilt/replaced with what should have built now. nostalgia.

What will the luxury sky boxes look like? I bet you won't find any polititions or developers sitting with the common folk. Watch who gets free tickets to everything.

Thanks for the sketches. That's about the only view I'll get - the ones that you provide - since I'll never give up my dugout level season tickets to the Atlanta Braves...

Enjoy the new stadium while it looks all shiney and new. As soon as it turns ghetto like the rest of Gwinnett - nobody will want to go...

This headline should read "Braves sneak stadium by taxpayers of Gwinnett"

I love how the county just passes huge tax burdens on it's citizenry without any notice of the coming business deal. They have ramrodded the stadium deal down our throats and we still do not even know how to pay for it. First it was rental car tax, now the bonds are 100% backed by property tax should they not make enough revenue. These board members are bandits and I will not vote for any of them ever again. This is spiral out of control and the braves will demand more and more from the county years down the road. Look what they did to Richmond.

I like how it showed people you could see through, kind of reflects the commissioners view of the invisible taxpayers of Gwinnett. Or it could be reflecting the input of the taxpayers of Gwinnett?
