Office building to look familiar, revitalize downtown DuluthPublished on: 05/05/08
WHAT IS IT?
The new office building for the transportation planning firm StreetSmarts and Mathias Corp., the contractors who built Duluth's new City Hall, is being made "to look like it's always been there," said Marsha Bomar, StreetSmarts president.

The building, which will be located across from Duluth's City Hall in the city's downtown revitalization district, will have 40,000 square feet of office and retail space.
WHAT IMPACT WILL IT HAVE?
The 100 or so employees who will work at the site will add a major missing ingredient to downtown Duluth — daytime activity, said Bomar. The development also will add new retail life to the area, and should help draw even more people to the area.
WHEN WILL IT BE DONE?
A topping-off party is planned for the first week in June, and Bomar said she expects to be working in the new building by the first week of December.
