Georgia Tech’s season might have taken another inauspicious turn in a 76-71 road loss to Virginia Tech on Wednesday night.

While guarding Hokies guard Hank Thorns with 3:08 left, Yellow Jackets point guard Iman Shumpert took a blow to the nose. Initial X-rays did not show anything, but Shumpert might have a nose fracture, according to Tech spokesman Mike Stamus.

Shumpert will have another X-ray on Thursday.

Shumpert, who fouled out on the play, has started every game for the Jackets and leads the team in assists and minutes played.
