Defensive tackle Vance Walker, second on the team with 3 1/2 tackles for loss, did not practice Monday because of concussion-like symptoms. Walker was hurt in the fourth quarter Saturday.

“They’re just making sure, being cautious,” coach Paul Johnson said. “He’s day-to-day.”

Leading receiver Demaryius Thomas, who missed Saturday’s game with a mild concussion, also did not practice Monday.

But outside linebacker Anthony Barnes, who hurt his left shoulder in the opener, returned.

“I’m feeling 100 percent,” Barnes said.

Nesbitt sore

After his 28-carry, 151-yard rushing performance, quarterback Josh Nesbitt said he woke up Sunday feeling “sore, tired. It didn’t feel good at all.”

Losing felt even worse for Nesbitt, who set a Tech record for rushing yards by a quarterback.

“I don’t even care about the record,” he said. “We didn’t get the win, so the record doesn’t matter.”
