James Jones has big day for Packers, fantasy owners

By Daniel Kelley

Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones made the most of his four receptions Sunday, going for 127 yards and a touchdown. Jones' touchdown proved to be the difference as the Packers beat the Detroit Lions 22-9.

Jones' score, the first touchdown of the game, came near the end of the third quarter, on an 83-yard pass connection between Jones and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The two had a second touchdown taken off the board later in the game.

Fantasy update: It is difficult to predict which receivers will have big games for Green Bay and which won't. After being shut out completely in Week 1, Jones had a huge Week 2, with 178 receiving yards. His yardage fell off in Week 3, but he had a score, and finally had big yardage and a touchdown in Week 5. Jones -- and fellow wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson -- are very unpredictable, but their highs are so high that they all have to be used when they're active.

The Packers upcoming games -- against Baltimore and Cleveland -- don't promise boisterous offenses, so temper expectations of all the Green Bay receivers, but they are still more than usable going forward.
