Fred Jackson also went down with an MCL sprain, which has suddenly turned the Bills backfield into a MASH unit. Spiller ran the ball a season-high 23 times, but couldn't break anything loose on his way to 77 yards. It was also his only game without a reception.
Spiller had tons of hype in north New York and his offensive coordinator said that he was going to give him the ball "until he throws up." Well, either Spiller has some stomach problems or the Bills haven't stuck to their word. He ranks 10th in the NFL in carries, 17th in rushing yards and 32nd in yards per carry this season.
This comes on the heels of the Clemson product ripping up the league in 2012, averaging an RB-high 6.0 yards per carry (tied with Adrian Peterson).
Fantasy impact: Next to David Wilson, there might not be a bigger bust in fantasy football than Spiller. He can't get into space and has just two carries over 20 yards and seven first downs. The Browns are going to be a tough matchup for him, but with Fred Jackson banged up, the time to buy low on Spiller is now.
