Tax Free Terror
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Whew!
Tax free weekend is over. We heard and witnessed some horrendous tales about a few overzealous shoppers.
Apparently some Atlantans got off tax free with more than $100 in clothing. Some others thought tax free weekend would be a good time to harass sales people.
Did you spot any shameful shopping this weekend?
Did anyone get free tax when they shouldn’t have?

I didn’t go out shopping on the weekend for that very reason. People are rude, obnoxious, pushy and mean most days but add a little discount into that mix and it becomes a nightmare. Who says money isn’t the root of all evil.

I went out shopping on Thursday but stayed away from stores the rest of the weekend! I bought school supplies before the tax-free weekend because it wasn’t worth saving $6 to fight the masses.

I laugh when I see people hustle to save 7% on a purchase during tax free weekend, but they wait it out when the prices are 10-20% lower the week before.
I pay for the entire purchase including tax. Just because the state gives you a freebie, it doesn’t make it a bargain.
