Fashion Flashback
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Alliance Theater is looking for donations of authentic 70’s clothes for the September production of the musical The Women of Brewster Place. Costume designer Paul Tazewell (The Color Purple) is reaching out to Atlantans for help.
If you’re still hoarding women’s attire in sizes 2 to 12 including dresses, suits, jumpsuits, palazzo pants, caftans, shoes, accessories, or even sewing patterns and fabric - take it all to the Alliance Theater 4th Floor offices at 1280 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on weekdays beginning Monday (July 16) to August 3.
All donations are tax deductible so use the extra cash to get with the times. What 70’s clothing or styles do you love (even if you were too young to wear it the first time around)?
