Kimora’s Green Bling
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Ms Kimora (Lee Simmons) is back (as if she ever left).
She has a new reality series, “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane” debuting Sunday August 5 on Style Network.
Even better, the bling-bling queen, along with Russell Simmons, is making up for buying all those diamonds, with the Diamond Empowerment Fund , designed to support the education and empowerment of people in Africa and other places where diamonds are a natural resource.
You can buy a $125 rough diamond and malachite green bracelet and 50% of the proceeds will go to the fund.
What do you think of KLS heading for reality TV and her humanitarian efforts?

Absolutely nothing. Who is Kimmora Lee? She’s not a humanitarian and should not be considered a start because she has done nothing to warrant it. Currently she is Russell Simmons “live in ex wife”. Who has ever heard of this. An arrangement that undoubtedly she proposed.
When she displays a gesture that is unmistakeable unselfish, and has enough confidence to leave Russell Simmons riches all behind then perhaps we can reconsider. BTW I guess the new thing is to sign a prenup, get knocked up, divorce and get a live in arrangement. Spectacular.

Whats the matter David? Are you just another jealous dude. Are you mad you didn’t marry Russell? Just another hater posting on this blog.

David, Kimora has run Baby Phat since its inception and run it well, might I add. She had a VERY successful modeling career before tackling the fashion business. Since it is her right to not have to provide a list of all her charitable doings, I think it’s fair to say you have no idea whether or not she is a humanitarian. I don’t see how her living arrangement infringes on your life, work, etc. That is between Kimora, Russell and those two adorable baby girls they created. David, stop drinking the haterade and find something else to whine about.

Oh by the by, Kimora wasn’t the first to agree to the living arrangement. Sarah, Duchess of York, was the first to agree to living with her ex-husband and her children. There, now you can go off on a rant about Fergie.

David, I’m with you. The mere fact that you have to mention Russell Simon’s name before most people even recognize who she is, speaks volumes. And before some of you say it… No, I’m not hating. I guess you could say, though, that I’m more supportive of Russell than the pretentious Kimora.

I don’t follow either one. I’m too old to care about one world and realize there are bigger issue in life than to care about the other. As I stated, I’m just more supportive of Russell, and that’s probably because he has been a big supporter of my organization.

NYPEACH Lol funny. Stating the facts. Kimmora’s accomplishment, however grandiose they may be are dwarfed when considering the empire that Russell Simmons have created. However, my previous post is not a slight on Kimmora Lees accomplishments, its a response to “What do you think of KLS heading for reality TV and her humanitarian efforts”. So many people have reality tv shows, so another one is just excessive. Not to mention it is from a pretentious woman who has done little as an humanitarian. Granted, everyone has to start somewhere. Who knows? She may just one day become an humanitarian. Its just a bit early to label her an humanitarian. Anyone notice how she’s always laughing with Russells money? lol Everytime I see her on TV she’s laughing. What humanitarian laughs so much lol.

To all those making the negative remarks. She and him are two very successful people, she before and after marrying him. As for the living arrangement, they are doing what is best for their children. MYOB. I agree, pour our the hatorade and dog someone else. Like the gold digging soon to be Mrs. Paul McCartney. Or perhaps the I would never have given him a second look if he didn’t make $100 mil/year, I just had his baby Mrs. Tiger Woods. Enough said!!!!!!

I think the KLS is great for giving back. Alot of people do not know that she works hard for her money and also has a book to tell everyone how she did it.
U go Girl!!

I’m glad to see her do something besides buy the leftovers from the Versace estate. I hope this is just the beginning of her giving back. It would be a nice beginning for someone who comes off as a spoiled rotten princess. As for running a company let me assure you, the conception might have been hers and she might have an office, but she doesn’t run Baby Phat…Russel does this is not second hand knowledge this is first hand.

Can we focus on issues that mean something, I am sick of reading, watching and listening to the lifestyles of rich trash. Kimora who, what?

For all those who think Tranny is so high class and such a “giving person”…maybe you should take a moment to read her interview with Vanity Fair APril 2005.
Right…she’s real high class.

Andy,
Sure you can. Did someone print this blog and force you to read it in captivity?

It’s sad to hear that when someone is doing well, there is an overwhelming negative response. Whether her riches stemmed from Russel or as far back as her modeling career, she has the wherewithall to provide the kind of support that she wishes to this cause while at the same time, incorporating a factor of something she loves - oppulance! I for one, was happy to see this offering and it’s more than modest price tag. At least four people that I know have purchased this bracelet, so I know it just can’t be me. As far as her reality show is concerned, it makes no difference, if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen ‘em all. And she actually doesn’t live with Russell, she bought a house on the west coast to be closer to her current boyfriend. She is a hard working woman whether you want to admit that or not. And that is an accomplishment that needs no acclaim. It speaks for itself.
