Want to get Bitten?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Bitten, Sarah Jessica Parker’s much talked about clothing line debuted this weekend at Steve and Barry’s, the store known for college apparel and $15 Starbury One sneakers by Stephon Marbury.
Items in SJP’s line of jackets, dresses, denim, and tops as well as accessories and lingerie are all under $20 and come in sizes 2 to 22. The line has already drawn non-traditional customers to Steve and Barry locations in New York, but despite a big debut on Oprah, it’s also had its share of critics.
Sadly, pictures of the line are in short supply so I don’t have one. Go to the Bitten site for a look.
If you decide can’t resist, you’ll have to take an hour-long drive to Perimeter Square in Athens (site of the closest Steve and Barry’s) at 10 Huntington Rd (706) 543-8119.
Anyone willing to drive an hour for SJP’s designer debut?

Me either. I don’t do “designer” clothes. Total waste of money.

Me either. I don’t do “designer” clothes. Total waste of money. Unless you consider Levi a designer.

This sounds great- designer fashions under $20, and in women’s sizes too! I don’t usually buy designer clothes because of the cost, but the next time I’m in Athens, I’ll check it out!

If anyone’s reading this, I visited the Steve and Barry’s store in Athens this weekend and looked at the Bitten line. It’s o.k. but not anything to get really excited about. The clothes are not incredibly pretty. The store, however, is great. It’s like someone smashed Old Navy and Gap together, slashed prices, expanded it fivefold, and added collegiate licensed merchandise from a large variety of universities. Awesome! I bought a bunch of stuff for the whole family, but none of it Bitten.
