Want to get famous? You’ve got two chances beginning tomorrow:
MODEL CALL Be a male or female, age 13 to 21, and go to JC Penney in Southlake Mall on Thursday between 4pm and 6pm. If you work the runway well enough, scouts from Elite Model Management Atlanta may pick your face from the crowd. Return on Saturday at 1pm for a fashion show of the latest JC Penney prom trends.
STARVING ARTIST Biore (yes, the pore strip people) and Gen Art, the art and entertainment organization devoted to uncovering emerging talent in fashion, film, music and visual arts; have teamed up to sponsor a competition for aspiring female artists.
Young women can enter original artwork tomorrow through May 31, 2007 in either of the above four categories. Grand Prize winners in each category will win a trip to New York City for a special showcase and each will receive a $20,000 grant from Biore (a dollar for each pore on our faces) to further her career in the arts.
