Reese’s Pieces
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
New York — Tracy Reese never fails to please the crowd. The Detroit native, who recently opened a flagship store in New York, stuck with what has always worked — hyper-feminine clothes with a totally chic edge — for her her Fall 2007 collection.

Notable looks ranged from a low-waist shift in black and bone with patent trim to a black and bone jacket in herringbone print with a waist of fit and flare gathers. A gray T-shirt with ruched sleeves was also a nice touch.
Reese, as with many other designers, was generous in her use of metallics, but in an unexpected way, such as a silver tweed motorcycle jacket paired with bone grosgrain shorts. The designer inserted bursts of color into the mix with magenta, even matching a strawberry tunic coat with a magenta cocktail dress.
Her happy fans attending the show included singers Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keyes, and former model, Veronica Webb.

Love Tracy Reese but not crazy about the big, bulky flare dresses. Takes me back to the Laugh-In days. Is this the new look for fall? If so, I’m out of luck.
