The C (Celebrity) Factor
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I’m not generally a celebrity sympathizer, but after seeing the paparazzi in action at Fashion Week, I did feel a little bad for the A through D list notables being bombarded with cameras. Here’s what I’ve learned: 1) You’re hot, until you’re not. Imagine you’re a sideline celebrity getting a moment in the spotlight. Then an A or B lister strolls by. Before you can utter another syllable, the camera swings away. Talk about ego crushing. 2) Denial is important. I watched a cameraman point a blinding light less than 2 inches from Glenda Bailey, editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. Bailey didn’t flinch. She didn’t even stop her conversation.

The fame game
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Howard Stern’s girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky, caused a flurry of flash bulbs here at Fashion Week. Here she is:

I’m not sure what she does, or how she got famous, (other than by being his girlfriend) but the paparazzi love her. So it got me thinking, who else has gotten famous, just by being someone’s girlfriend/boyfriend? K Fed came to mind, then I drew a blank.
Any thoughts?
