Falcons place safety Harris on injured reserve

Cornerback Sharpe signed from practice squad to active roster

The Falcons placed safety Antoine Harris on injured reserve with a groin injury on Tuesday. The team also signed cornerback Glenn Sharpe from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster and signed offensive guard Nate Bennett, who played at Paulding County High, to the practice squad.

Harris competed in 12 games this season, mostly on special teams.

Sharpe, 6-foot, 185 pounds, was originally signed by the Falcons in April and was signed to the practice squad following training camp.

Bennett was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by Cleveland in May out of Clemson. He was waived following training camp and was signed to Baltimore’s practice squad in October. He spent nine weeks with the Ravens and was waived last week.
