Feed the homeless: A dinner and special service for homeless people will be held at The Cathedral of St. Philip. The dinner will begin at 5 p.m.; service starts at 7 p.m. Nov. 1. Public speaking: Author, priest and professor Lauren Winner will be the distinguished guest speaker for the 2017 Annual Women's Forum, an event sponsored by Candler's Women, Theology and Ministry program. Winner will speak on Cardigan Sweaters, Magnolia Trees and Brioche: Overlooked Biblical Metaphors for God. She is the daughter of a Jewish father and a Southern Baptist mother; she was raised Jewish, then converted to Christianity and was baptized into the Anglican Church as an adult. Treasure mapping: Learn to unpack some of your life experiences using colors, images and words during a treasure mapping session taught by Westina Matthews, Ph.D., an adjunct professor, author, public speaker and spiritual director.
