Meridith Ford: What would a bloody brawl be without candy corn? This recipe has been bopped around for years, but was originally inspired by the folks at Pillsbury.

1 log sugar cookie dough, slightly softened

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup candy corn pieces

1/2 cup dried cherries

1/2 cup white raisins

1/2 cup canned frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 10-inch pizza or cake pan with aluminum foil.

Press the cookie dough into the pan evenly to create a crust. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden. Remove from heat and set aside. When crust is cool, use the aluminum foil to lift it from the pan. Place on a serving tray.

Spread the crust with peanut butter. Sprinkle candy corn, cherries and raisins over the peanut butter. Place frosting in the microwave and cook on high for 20 seconds, until the frosting begins to melt.

Drizzle the melted icing over the pizza. Kill each other over who gets the first slice.

Bob Longino: When the killings begin in the campy -- and oh-so-watchable -- "Freddy vs. Jason" (2003), what do all the town's teenagers do? Why, head to a late-night, drunken rave in a cornfield. It's there that Freddy Krueger's co-star, the hockey-masked Jason Voorhees, wades into the crowd like Russell Crowe and gladiates the teenage horde.

Counting direct to video, there have been at least eight "Children of the Corn" movies since 1984. They are where scythe meets flesh.

Certainly much more family-friendly is "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" (1982). Yes, Elliot meets his alien turtle in a cornfield. And, later, they go out trick-or-treating.
