Last week's Best of Atlanta poll discovered the best coffee shops in town.

As our first place winner, the founders of Dancing Goats started with a passion for serving great coffee which grew into a pursuit for roasting the world's finest coffees. Each location in Atlanta has a unique personality and atmosphere worthy of a visit.

Some people say a perfectly roasted batch of coffee does not exist. Coming in second, Rev Coffee Roasters has been trying to prove that wrong since 2010. Sourcing, roasting and preparing coffee that pushes the boundaries of exceptional quality is kind of an obsession for them.

In third is Land of A Thousand Hills, where you're a part of a community that invests in coffee farming villages to provide living wages, education, healthcare and clean water, while celebrating the craft of specialty coffee.

Coffee is more than a drink - it's an exploration of craft here in our city. Check out our other official nominees: Revelator Coffee (Multiple Locations), Amélie's French Bakery and Café (Intown), Chrome Yellow Trading Co. (Intown), Inman Perk Coffee (Intown), Taproom Coffee and Bar (DeKalb), Ebrik Coffee Room (Intown), ParkGrounds (Intown), Cool Beans Coffee Roasters (Cobb), Boba Mocha (Gwinnett) and Proof Bakeshop (Intown).

Here are eight metro Atlanta coffee shops for millennials (and everyone else) to check out.
