The accident, which happened about 10 a.m. between Hollowell Parkway and the I-20 interchange, left logs strewn across the interstate, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.

Southbound traffic was being diverted at Hollowell Parkway, with northbound traffic detoured onto I-20.

Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said the entrance ramps to I-285 southbound, from I-75 to the wreck site, were also closed at the request of the Georgia State Patrol.

The DOT said four vehicles were involved, but it was unclear if anyone was injured.
