Satellite Place new home for NCR
Location close to other facility in Duluth
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
NCR Corp. has chosen Satellite Place 700 in Duluth to house its corporate headquarters, the company announced Thursday.
NCR spokesman Peter Tulupman said NCR chose Satellite Place because it is less than a mile from a facility the company already operates in Duluth.
He said the location will allow the two facilities “to function as one large campus for our global headquarters.”
NCR, which makes ATMs, self-service kiosks and checkout terminals, announced in June it would move its headquarters from Dayton, Ohio, to Duluth, adding about 1,250 jobs.
NCR also plans to employ 870 people at a new plant in Columbus.
NCR has signed a 10-year lease for 120,000 square feet with Crescent Resources, which represented the owner of Satellite Place 700, Franklin Street Properties in Boston.
The building is a six-story office building on Satellite Boulevard, across from Gwinnett Place mall.
Tulupman said NCR is already conducting job interviews at the facility. He said it is being renovated, and employees are expected to start moving in by the end of the year.
