About 1.5 million square feet of office leases were reported during the third quarter of 2009, according to a report by Jones Lang LaSalle. Leasing activity declined 41 percent from the second quarter of 2009 and 60 percent from the same period a year ago, the report said.
Still, the commercial real estate services firm noted, several large tenants entered the market, including the CDC, which is looking for 300,000 square feet of campus-style office space in the Northlake /Decatur area.
