McKenna Long & Aldridge to merge with California firm
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta-based law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge said Tuesday it will merge with a California firm, in a move that will bolster its services in several fields, including insurance, real estate, government contracts and corporate law.
McKenna Long said in a news release it will merge with San Diego-based Luce, Forward Hamilton & Scripps. The merger will expand its roster of attorneys and public policy advisers to more than 600 from 475.
The combined firm will retain the name McKenna Long & Aldridge and operate in 15 U.S. and international offices.
“The market for legal and regulatory work in California is growing, and Luce Forward’s statewide platform represented a perfect fit for our firm,” McKenna Long Chairman Jeff Haidet said. The merger is expected to close March 1.
