Four Seasons, St. Regis, Bacchanalia among top AAA hotels, restaurants

AAA has named its top hotels and restaurants in metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
The travel group, in its annual review, has awarded its prestigious five diamond designation to six hotels -- the Four Seasons Atlanta, InterContinental Buckhead, St. Regis Atlanta and the Ritz-Carlton locations in downtown Atlanta, Buckhead and at Reynolds Plantation.
Earning four diamonds: Grand Hyatt Atlanta, JW Marriott Buckhead, Loews Atlanta, Omni Hotel at CNN Center, Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, Renaissance Atlanta Waverly, Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport, Westin Buckhead, W Buckhead, W Downtown, W Midtown, Chateau Elan Winery and Resort, Westin Atlanta Airport, Marriott Evergreen Conference Resort, Marriott Macon City Center Hotel and 1842 Inn in Macon.
No metro restaurants made the five diamond list, but 13 were awarded four diamonds. They include Aria, Atlanta Grill at the Ritz Carlton downtown, Bacchanalia, BLT Steak at the W downtown, Canoe, La Grotta Ravinia Ristorante Italiano, Nan Thai Fine Dining, La Grotta Ristorante Italiano, Nikolai’s Roof at Hilton Atlanta, Georgia’s Bistro, Paces 88 at the St. Regis, Park 75 at the Four Seasons and Restaurant Eugene.
Overall, AAA awarded four and five diamonds to just over 2,400 hotels and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The winners make up a fraction of the 59,000 lodgings and dining establishments eligible for ratings.
