The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Dr Pepper Snapple is starting to test a new, low-calorie version of Dr Pepper called "Dr Pepper 10," trade journal Beverage Digest reported Friday. The Texas company is testing the drink in six markets: Denver, Colorado Springs, Des Moines, Kansas City, San Antonio and Austin. It is sweetened with ace-K, aspartame and high fructose corn syrup.

Executives told the trade journal the new drink is part of the company's plan to launch more "health and wellness" beverages over the next few years. Dr Pepper 10 is designed for men aged 25-34, many of whom are not satisfied with the taste or image of diet soft drinks.
