Delta Air Lines subsidiary Regional Elite Airline Services is offering buyouts to ground workers in Cincinnati as Delta cuts flights there.

All of Regional Elite Airline Services' roughly 950 employees in the Cincinnati area are eligible for the voluntary programs, according to spokeswoman Kristin Baur. The job reductions are for flight cuts announced in December.

Atlanta-based Delta created Regional Elite Airline Services last year to spin off customer service workers from its regional carriers Comair, Mesaba and Compass into a subsidiary. Delta acquired Mesaba and Compass through its merger with Northwest Airlines.
