The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines said it has received approval from the Australia Competition and Consumer Commission for a joint venture with Virgin Blue Airlines Group on flights between Australia and the United States.
It not yet received a decision from the U.S. Department of Transportation on anti-trust immunity for the deal. Delta did receive approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation for some code-sharing with Virgin Blue and its subsidiary V Australia, and plans to announce code-sharing routes soon.
