Delta flight simulator technician union election rerun dates set
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A union representation election among Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines' flight simulator technicians will be rerun starting Aug. 25, the union told its members.
The election among the 91 simulator technicians was first held in February among non-union employees from Delta and unionized employees from Northwest to determine whether to be unionized under the International Association of Machinists in the Delta-Northwest merger. The union lost the election.
But the National Mediation Board, which oversees labor relations at airlines, determined Delta interfered in that election and said it would rerun the election.
The Mediation Board scheduled the election to run from Aug. 25 to Sept. 16, according to International Association of Machinists.
