The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has completed the consolidation of merger partner Northwest Airlines' airport operations into its own. On Monday,  Delta completed the combination of operations at its final airport -- Philadelphia International. In total, Delta converted 247 Northwest stations, cutting more than 100 gates and leased space from its operations in the process. The consolidation of airport operations yields Delta about $75 million a year in savings, according to the company. The Delta-Northwest merger closed in October 2008 and Delta expects to combine reservations systems and finish repainting Northwest aircraft later this year.
