Delta announces new international routes
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Delta Air Lines announced an expansion of its routes into Asia with new flights to Beijing and other cities next summer, but none of the new Asia routes are from Delta’s Atlanta hub.
Atlanta-based Delta said it will begin flying from Seattle to Beijing and Osaka, and from Detroit to Hong Kong and Seoul, starting next June. Delta will also expand its Detroit-Shanghai route from five times a week to seven times weekly starting next June.
The moves come after Delta discontinued its routes from Atlanta to Shanghai and Seoul earlier this year.
Delta announced one new Atlanta route -- to Accra, Ghana -- which it will begin flying three times a week starting June 1.
