Turknett Leadership Group has announced leadership character awards for the year. The Association County Commissioners of Georgia has named former state Rep. Richard Royal a recipient of an ACCG Lifetime Service Award.

Bart Meijers has been named director of catering and convention services at Grand Hyatt Atlanta.

The Midtown Assistance Center installed three new members to its board of directors: Richard Felker, president, the Richard Felker Co.; Mike Mason, community investment services director of compliance and servicing at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta; and Rose Sias, case manager at Crossroads Community Ministries. The center officers for 2009 are Lisa Robinson, president; Marth Beth Grady, vice president; Charlotte Montague-Shields, secretary; Henry Wirth and Christopher Brown, as co-treasurers.

Kelly Fink of Bowen Family Homes was named Marketing Director of the Year at a national awards ceremony held during the National Association of Home Builders’ annual International Builders’ Show.

Dr. Eric M. Gibney, a transplant nephrologist, has joined Piedmont Hospital Transplant Services from the Division of Nephrology and the Hume-Lee Transplant Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.
