A 19-year-old Stone Mountain man was sentenced to life plus 110 years in prison Wednesday after a Gwinnett County jury found him guilty of nine burglaries and the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Darrian Bryant was a 17-year-old Parkview High School student when he was arrested in April 2007. He was charged in connection with nine daytime burglaries in and around the Lakebrooke Run subdivision in Stone Mountain, one of which involved the brutal rape of a 15-year-old girl. The burglaries occurred between June 2006 and March 2007.

Prosecutor Dawn Taylor said the girl was attacked after she hopped off the school bus and entered her home alone on March 28, 2007. A masked man put a bag over her head, bound her arms and legs and raped her. He then led her around the house, shoving her into walls and smashing a vase over her head. Bryant had admitted committing most of the burglaries, but denied involvement with the break-in and rape at the 15-year-old’s house.
