The sale follows Cox’s August 2008 announcement it sought buyers for most of its weekly and daily newspapers. The properties for sale are in Texas, Colorado and North Carolina and include the Austin American-Statesman. Its properties in Ohio and Georgia, including The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, are not for sale.
