Relocating taskbar in Windows XP not difficult
Sunday, May 17, 2009
Q: I use Windows XP home version. Somehow I hit a wrong key and my taskbar is now vertical on the left side of my screen instead of at the bottom. How do you get it to move back to the bottom of screen? — Dale L. Gaumer
A: Trying to get the taskbar back to the bottom of the screen can fluster the most unflappable. Here’s how: First make sure the taskbar isn’t locked into position. To check that, right click on an unused area of the bar. You may see a check box by “lock the taskbar.” If you want to move the bar, remove that check box.

Next, move your cursor to the part of the bar where the time is displayed. Click and hold down the left mouse button. While holding it down, move the cursor to the bottom center of your screen.
