UPS Foundation donates $1 million to environmental groups

The UPS Foundation, the Sandy Springs company’s charitable arm, is giving $1 million to five environmental programs, reflecting a new global sustainability focus for its giving.
The awards include: $300,000 to The Nature Conservancy for tree-planting in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, China’s Yunnan Forest, and East Africa’s Highland Forest; $300,000 to the Earth Day Network for its youth program; $220,000 to Keep America Beautiful for educational programs; $200,000 to the National Park Foundation for youth hands-on learning; and $50,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 50,000 trees.
Last year, the UPS Foundation donated nearly $46 million to charitable organizations worldwide.
