Turner Broadcasting System has decided to sell GameTap, its online video game site and distribution network.
The decision was released as part of parent company Time Warner's second quarter earnings report.
|
The report mentioned an $18 million noncash impairment attributed to the sale of GameTap.
Turner didn't say if it has a buyer.
GameTap was founded as a subscription service in 2005, but the site added free content in May 2005 in hopes of attracting more users.
