BUILDING BLOCKS
Mixed-use project is first for Castleberry HillCastleberry Point is the first mixed-use new construction in Atlanta's Castleberry Hill loft district just south of downtown. The $33 million project has 110 residential units ranging in size from 748 square feet to 2,800 square feet, including six live/work units. Its ground floor contains 35,000 square feet of retail space that will open into an interior courtyard as well as to the street. Amenities, uncommon in Castleberry Hill developments, include a rooftop pool, club room, fitness center and high-speed Internet access in every unit. Prices range from $200,000 to $750,000.

Specially designed to reflect the neighborhood's vintage industrial architecture, Castleberry Point will blend the area's cool, artsy vibe with the uptown extras many downtown condo shoppers are finding in developments around Centennial Olympic Park and Ivan Allen Plaza. The project also will bring as many as three restaurants — one from the owners of popular Apres Diem in Midtown — and other retail to the area. Live/work spaces will add professional services.
Sales, which were launched last year, are ongoing. A grand opening is slated for late summer.
