The Atlanta chicken chain known for taking Sundays off and responding to guests with a signature "my pleasure" phrase, instead of "you're welcome," gained kudos this week for its customer service.
Chick-fil-A made the Top 30 list for Customer Service Champs in the March 3 issue of Business Week. The list, which included a wide range of industries from autos to cell phones, used data from consumer research firm J.D. Power & Associates.
Chick-fil-A ranked 22nd and was the only fast-food chain on the list. "This Atlanta-based chain has redefined the fast-food experience, putting a premium on service," the magazine said.
USAA, an insurance and financial services provider for military personnel, ranked first. L.L. Bean and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts were second and third.
