The leadership team of the merged Delta and Northwest airlines under Delta chief executive Richard Anderson will include four Northwest executives and four Delta executives.
As previously announced, Anderson will continue as chief executive of the combined company, Delta said Tuesday. Ed Bastian, currently president and chief financial officer of Delta, will keep those positions and also serve as chief executive and president of Northwest Airlines. With the merger, NWA Inc. will temporarily become an operating subsidiary of Delta.
