Monday, July 06, 2009

Subway said Monday it would add freshly brewed Fuze iced tea, a Coca-Cola Co. product, to its nearly 22,500 U.S. restaurants.

Market tests showed that consumers liked having a fresh-brewed tea available with their meals, Subway said in a press release.

Restaurants will serve two tea flavors, choosing from five available varieties — green tea with honey flavor, unsweetened tea, sweet tea, black tea with lemon flavor and southern style sweet tea. Atlanta-based Coca-Cola bought Fuze in 2007.
