Tom Mattia, a retiring Coca-Cola Co. public relations executive, will join George Washington University next year as an adjunct professor, the Washington, D.C., school announced this week.
Mattia, who joined Atlanta-based Coca-Cola in 2006, announced in September he would be retiring as Coca-Cola senior vice president of worldwide public affairs and communications.
He will begin teaching in January an online course on issues management and crisis communications for the university’s Graduate School of Political Management. He also will serve as a guest lecturer.
