Yunel Escobar was out of the lineup Wednesday with a sore and a slightly swollen right knee, but the Braves shortstop said he probably wouldn't miss more than two games.
Escobar said he didn't think it was a "dirty" move when Mets outfielder Ryan Church slid late and hard into him on the game-ending double play that injured the Cuban infielder's knee and left Church with a mild concussion from the impact of head against knee.

"I'm used to it, back in my land that's the way guys slide," Escobar said through a translator. "[The Mets] are a great team and this is a great rivalry. I was expecting him to slide hard; he did it before."
He was referring to Church's similar side on a fifth-inning play, which left Escobar with a sore left quadriceps. The shortstop said the left leg wasn't a problem Wednesday, but he was limping noticeably from the swelling in his right knee.
"I don't feel good at all," said Escobar, although he and manager Bobby Cox both said the disabled list was not a consideration.
Cox said Escobar was examined late Tuesday and the knee was "stable."
Church was also out of the lineup Wednesday, but hoped to be back for Thursday's series finale. The outfielder said he only played hard Tuesday and that if given the opportunity, he would make the ninth-inning play again, the same way.
He was briefly knocked unconscious and his head bounced off the ground. Church also suffered a concussion during spring training. A CAT scan on his head Tuesday showed no structural damage.
Cox said he thought Church waited too long to slide on the ninth-inning play, but stopped short of calling it an illegal play. He said Church's slide in the fifth inning was "a little late" but not as blatant as the ninth inning.
"I don't know what was going on," said Cox, whose Braves won the game 6-2 to cap Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of the Mets. "The slide was extremely late. You've got to slide before you get to the bag, not after you get even with it.
"I don't know if he got his stride messed up or what."
Omar Infante filled in for Escobar at shortstop and hit leadoff Wednesday. Escobar, batting .315 with four homers and 20 RBI, was 7-for-12 in his past three games.
