‘Top Chef’ judge in trouble for stiffing employees
NYPost.com is reporting that Tom Colicchio, judge on the hit reality TV cooking competition ‘Top Chef’ on Bravo, is being sued for stiffing workers at his restaurants.

A class-action lawsuit filed by former waitress Nessa Rapone claims she was cheated out of wages, overtime and tips at the Broadway eatery Craftbar - then got fired when she complained.
I think it’s more likely a manager under Colicchio is responsible for this rather than Colicchio himself. The manager might be keeping the extra money for himself, or the waitress is overestimating how good she is at her job. Either way, I doubt Colicchio had any knowledge of this.
What do you think? Do you think he would knowingly do this to one of his employees? If he did have something to do with this, do you think that will weaken his clout as a judge on ‘Top Chef’?

I have known Tom his entire life. This lawsuit is completely baseless and against everything he stands for. The accuser worked at craftbar for 17 days. Tom never even met her. 14 years in business and this one disgruntled person, signing on with a law firm that specializes in these slanderous suits, will not prove anything since her accusations are completely false.
