Obama to talk at Stivers
My colleague Jessica Wherman is reporting Barack Obama will speak Friday at Stivers School for the Arts.
With a school venue, it seemed hopeful Obama might be talking about education policy? Nope. Turns out he is talking about energy.
Tickets are available through your local Democratic Party headquarters. Jessica’s post has more details. The event begins at 10 a.m.

I’ll be anxious to see if he actually has something of substance to say or if it’s all feel good things without real plan, method, fund source, etc. Just saying he represents change when he’s acting like an old school politician talking like a Republican now that he’s moved to the middle, in fact, isn’t enough. And what has his voting record been on these in his short year in Congress. Present isn’t enough of a record! I’d like to see debates between him and Senator McCain.

I think my son would like to go to the rally and hear what Senator Obama has to say… and I might just try and take him. I am usually supportive of the republican agenda, but I always vote for the best candidate- no matter what party he/she represents. I still haven’t made my decision about who to vote for in the upcoming Presidential election. On a side note, I found the comments on Jessica’s blog somewhat discriminatory toward “briars” and “rednecks.” I don’t consider myself either, but I thought the comments were inappropriate.

I’m excited his coming! I guess people will be able to seek in a question about education. The main thing I’m happy about is that he’s coming to Stivers High School!
