Fox 7 gets new general manager
There’s a new No. 1 at Fox 7.
Mike Lewis has been named vice president and general manager of Austin’s KTBC.
Lewis arrives from Houston, where he served as vice president and general sales manager for Fox-owned KRIV and KTXH for the past four years.
He’s also worked at Fox stations in Memphis, Tenn., and Washington, D.C.
“Mike has done a stellar job in leading our Houston sales team,” said Fox Television Stations CEO Jack Abernethy. “His extensive knowledge of the broadcast industry and strategic approach to our business make him the ideal choice as we look to maintain and grow KTBC’s position in the Austin market. He has had great success in several markets and I am confident that he is up to the challenge of being a Fox general manager.”
Lewis replaces Mark Rodman, who now oversees KSAZ and KUTP, the network’s two Phoenix stations.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead the great staff at KTBC Fox 7, and I look forward to taking on this new role,” Lewis said.
