The company has purchased eight stations owned by Freedom Communications for $385 million.

The acquisition comes just two months after Sinclair picked up KEYE, Austin’s CBS affiliate, as well as six other stations owned by Four Points Media Group for $200 million.

Freedom’s holdings include KFDM in Beaumont, as well as stations in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Grand Rapids and Lansing, Mich.; Albany, N.Y.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Medford, Ore.

The Freedom and Four Points deals both require approval by the Federal Communications Commission.

In Texas, Sinclair also owns a pair of stations in San Antonio, KABB and KMYS.
