Longhorn Network to air 5 UTSA games
The Longhorn Network has grabbed the rights to exclusively air the five remaining University of Texas at San Antonio home football games this season.
The first game airs this Saturday, when UTSA takes on McMurry University at 1 p.m.
Other matchups to be televised are:
Sept. 24: Bacone College, 1 p.m.
Oct. 8: University of South Alabama, 4:30 p.m.
Oct. 29: Georgia State University, 12:30 p.m.
Nov. 19: Minot State University, TBA
“This will provide great exposure for our football program and our university,” said Lynn Hickey, UTSA’s athletics director.
In their inaugural season, the UTSA Roadrunners play at the Alamodome.
LHN will also exclusively televise the UT-Kansas game on Oct. 29. Kickoff has not yet been announced.
In Central Texas, the only carrier to offer LHN is Grande Communications.
