Congrats to KVUE’s Terri Gruca, whose work has been honored by the Texas Medical Association.

Gruca, co-anchor of the station’s 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, was recognized with the Anson Jones Award for a report focusing on a 16-month-old Central Texas girl who underwent ground-breaking brain surgery to stop seizures she’d been experiencing.

The story aired in February. Scroll down to watch.
