U-verse restores HGTV, Food Network, other channels
Update: While HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and GAC are back on U-verse, your program guide may still be listing incorrect and channels and listings. For instance, U-verse channel 450 is HGTV, but channel 450 is showing up in some program guides as TLC. However, if you tune to channel 450, the HGTV content is being broadcast. If this doesn’t correct soon, it will likely be fixed overnight when the program guide updates.
After pulling HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and GAC from its lineup on Friday, AT&T U-verse started restoring those channels for viewers earlier Sunday evening, according to an announcement on the U-verse Facebook page.
“U-verse TV customers: HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and GAC are back on U-verse TV!” the posting read. “We’re happy to let you know that we’ve reached a fair deal with these networks, and our deal will also bring you even more access to their programming across devices. Thank you for all your support and patience.”
The channels are owned by Scripps Networks.
