Jim McNabb over at News McNabb reports on KEYE personality Gregg Watson’s departure from the station, first announced by Watson on his personal blog August 12.
“After a week of not working for the first time in eight years I’m going crazy,” Watson wrote in a blog entry posted today. “I had two freelance interviews at a couple of Dallas/Fort Worth TV stations that went well, but no offers from either one.”
McNabb’s story, with links to Watson’s blog, can be found here.

Well, this sucks. I always watch KEYE's late news and have been used to seeing Gregg Watson most every night. When I heard that he left, I assumed it was 'cause he got a better offer, probably in a bigger market. I don't know anything about him personally, but he comes across as a nice, good-natured gentleman. I hope he finds a new, better, position soon.
